Dear Valued Customer,

Please be advised that some of Gainsborough’s stainless steel pull handles (600mm and 750mm) and Omni Trilock are temporarily unavailable.

Gainsborough is committed to product quality and as such we routinely inspect product to ensure that it adheres to Gainsborough’s specification.  Our quality department conducted an audit on our pull handles, based on customer feedback and inspection reports, the recent batch of 600mm and 750mm range were found to have contaminants which can cause premature rusting and staining.  Whilst all stainless steel is susceptible to tea staining, cleaning will normally fix this issue.  However due to contaminants, this batch of pull handles will continue to stain and rust after cleaning. This is clearly a breach of the Gainsborough’s product specification and therefore we have suspended supply until this issue is fixed.

Gainsborough is currently investigating multiple options to solve this problem and is seeking a permanent solution.  We realise the urgency to find a solution and apologise for the inconvenience caused by this action, however it would be irresponsible to continue to sell product which could damage not only Gainsborough’s reputation, but your reputation through association. 

Gainsborough is hoping to resume limited supply of its 600mm, 750mm pull handles and Omni Trilock within 8 weeks, depending on the solution. In the meantime, we are sourcing Horizon and Oblong pull handles locally so we will commence filling back orders next week on these 2 lines.  For enquiries on the Omni pull handle, please contact your representative or customer service as Gainsborough has several interim measures available.

If you believe that you have a Gainsborough pull handle that is affected by premature rusting, please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page. Providing that the product is faulty, we will send you a new one when supply is resumed.
